The Skinny About Weight Loss Pills
The hottest diet trend today is weight loss pills. As the world
grows heavier, the weight loss companies get richer. Their claims
of extraordinary results are splashed all over television screens
and magazine pages.
Do these pills really work? After interviewing several doctors,
the consensus is a resounding "NO!" and I believe them.
Each doctor I spoke with stated that the initial weight loss a person
experiences when starting on these pills is a result of their honest
effort at lifestyle change. Weight loss pills are a waste of hard
earned money. Healthy eating habits and regular exercise is the
best way to achieve weight loss results.
Bikini in a bottle, fat burner, miracle pill. Whatever they are
calling the newest weight loss pill, don't fall for it. After extensively
researching this subject, there was only one ingredient found to
be effective in helping lose weight. Notice I said WAS. This supplement
caused increased heart rates and blood pressures. It was also linked
to fatal heart attacks. It was found to be dangerous enough that
it is now banned and I am not even going to mention it's name for
fear you may try to buy it off the black market.
So if weight loss pills don't work, how can they get away with
all the advertising claiming to have great results? For one, the
people who "used to be" obese and are now buff and sexy
- are actors and actresses. If you read the fine print at the bottom
of commercials (which is flashed pretty quickly) you will read something
like "studies show an average of 7 pounds were lost per month
by test subjects". They aren't lying about the weight loss.
Let me give you an example of how they can get away with these claims.
Cindy tries Megaloss for a month. She is excited and hyped up.
She watches what she eats and puts an honest effort into exercise
all the while taking her new pills. She averages 3.5 lbs of weight
loss each week for the first two weeks. Seeing the pounds come of
makes her ease up a bit on her schedule and diet. She quickly reverts
back to her former lifestyle and actually eats a few extra calories
here and there thinking the pills will help her burn them off. She
gains 8 pounds by the end of the month. She now weighs more than
when she started. Since she initially lost weight, the companies
can claim the seven pound loss and they aren't required to report
it had nothing to do with their miracle cure and that it didn't
stay off.
If weight loss came in a bottle, everyone would be skinny and fit.
The best way to obtain a smaller you is to learn to eat properly
in a way that works with your body, not against it. What you put
in your body, not how much, is the key to losing weight. Some natural,
highly nutritious foods even promote the burning of fat cells. You
don't need to swallow your hard earned money with a glass of water.
Following a healthy eating plan with the right foods will melt the
pounds away and even improve your health. You will look and feel
years younger, if you simply learn how to eat the right foods.
